What we don’t accept

This is not a venue for full-length original research manuscripts, surgical outcomes studies, or methods papers intended for traditional scientific journals (e.g., JTCVS, Annals of Thoracic Surgery). Those submissions are out of scope and will be rejected.

Editorial review & publication

All submissions undergo review by the TSRA Executive Committee for clarity, accuracy, and educational value. Revisions may be requested before final acceptance. Accepted articles are published on TSRAWeb with a DOI for citation and discoverability.

How to submit (step-by-step)

1. Read the Submission Guidelines to confirm scope, format, word count, references, and multimedia rules.
2. Download the Article Template and draft your manuscript with the required front matter.
3. Prepare figures/media and permissions (if using third-party images).
4. Check the final checklist (title; Take Home Message; 2–5 objectives; ≤2,500 words; ≤10 references; conflicts disclosed; contact info provided).
